For Companies

Product categories and criteria

Four product categories, one principle. Criteria vary by category, but the principle stays the same: authenticity and purity are always examined at the level of ingredients and process.

Food

  • Origin, production conditions and composition are assessed from raw material to product.
  • No unnecessary colourings, flavourings or preservatives.
  • Processing is limited to what is necessary.

Supplements

  • Purity and active-ingredient concentrations are assessed.
  • The product contains no unnecessary additives or fillers.
  • The origin of raw materials is documented.

Cosmetics

  • Products are assessed on their production processes and ingredients, with consumer safety and ingredient naturalness at the centre.
  • Claims such as “natural” are verified at the ingredient level.
  • No unnecessary synthetic fragrances or preservatives.

Clothing

  • Natural materials down to the yarn.
  • No plastic or plastic derivatives are allowed in the finished product.
  • No unnecessary chemical treatments.
How it works

The AIDOIN application process

1

Application

The company applies for the AIDOIN mark: pays the application fee and submits the documentation needed for the review process (ingredient list, processing information, ingredient origin and purity).

2

Meeting the criteria — the review process

AIDOIN checks that the product meets the certificate's requirements. An audit and/or a visit to the company's production facilities may be carried out if needed.

3

Granting the certificate

A product that meets the criteria may use the AIDOIN certificate. The company is obliged to report any changes, and the certificate is renewed annually.
